Sam Jones and Dr Frank Fox.
Heywood Rural Health will continue to support its local medical
workforce in return for a level of service that Doctors Jones
and Fox, and any subsequently appointed third GP, can sustain.
5 Acute beds for low complexity care (admissions by local
Doctors)
12 High Care (Nursing Home) beds.
33 Low Care Hostel beds, including -13 dementia specific
Hostel beds.
50 beds in total + 2 A&E Trolleys.
7 Community Aged Care Packages for the general community
clients.
5 Community Aged Care Packages specifically for Koori
use.
Seven day a week District Nursing (8 hours per day
X 7 days)
Recruitment and on-going support for Local Doctors.
Community Transport Bus and use of hospital cars for
transportation.
Accident & Emergency service (limited cover provided
by our GPs)
Women's Health Programs.
Visiting Counsellor - 2 days per week.
Meals on Wheels food services - 7 days per week.
Meals (food services) to Riverwood Day Centre (Tuesday
& Thursday),
Dartmoor Senior Citizens and Heywood Senior Citizens.
