| The Philosophy of Heywood
Rural Health emanates from the belief that each person is
an individual with differing, diverse and changing physical,
physiological, emotional and spiritual needs.
Their right to maintain their identity and dignity should
be respected in life and in death, regardless of the person's
race or creed, or their social or economic status.

Each department within the Health Service must provide optimum
standards of patient and family-centred care and foster a
coordinated team effort in order to provide the quality of
care to which the patient is entitled.
We
believe that by maintaining and understanding, relationships
between all divisions within the Health Service, a high standard
of quality patient care will be achieved.
We believe that continuing education for all levels of staff
is essential to keep abreast of the constant changes within
the health care system as well as catering for the community's
changing needs.

We also believe in the personal worth of each
individual employee and
are committed to maintaining an atmosphere conducive to learning
and professional development so that all members of staff
have the opportunity to gain personal job satisfaction and
achieve their fullest professional potential.
